What happens if you lose your device?

No need to stress — losing your device doesn’t mean losing access to Piggy. Since we use passkeys, as long as you're signed into your Apple, Google, or Microsoft account, your login credentials will sync right back onto any new device. Here's the scoop:

Apple

When you use an Apple device, your passkeys are securely stored in iCloud Keychain. If your phone disappears, just sign into your Apple ID (with 2FA) on another iPhone, iPad, or Mac — your passkeys automatically reappear, letting you get back into Piggy the same way as before.

Google

On Android or Chrome, passkeys are handled through Google Password Manager. Sign into your Google account on a new device, unlock it with your phone’s screen lock or a manager PIN, and your passkeys instantly sync over. No extra steps needed.

Windows

Using a Windows? Your passkeys are protected by Windows Hello (face, fingerprint, or PIN). On Windows 11, these can sync across devices tied to your Microsoft Account. Sign into your Microsoft account on the new PC, finish the one-time setup, and Windows Hello picks up where you left off — including your Piggy login.

Lose your phone or computer? Just sign into your Apple, Google, or Microsoft account on a replacement device. The passkeys come along for the ride naturally — no recovery codes or help tickets. You get back into Piggy effortlessly.
